I still haven't done much about moving, but I will. Saw this today - kind of an oddity, I guess: a busy site, but low numbers for a social site, apparently. Maybe all the hits registering were those damn spambots. Actually, it seems that most of the sites mentioning the closing don't even really know Vox because their comments are so absurd.
<sigh> I guess my fresh start to blogging again is more hard-core reality than just virtual now.
My initial thoughts are that I do NOT want to move to Typepad simply because I do not want to further support 6A. It seems most everyone is headed to WP. I hope it's better than my small venture into it last year. I hear the word "community" thrown around for WP, so maybe there is something we can do, afterall. And of course the lovely Redscylla has set up a common meeting place, at least for the time being, where we can centralize our contact info, if nothing else. I told Cranky I'd look into message boards, too, since that also seems to be a viable option (but in addition to, not instead of, blogs). I'll keep you posted.
Love and luck to all.

So it looks like it's all about the money. Vox had such a good thing going with all the privacy levels and the community feel. I decided I didn't want to deal with Six Apart anymore, so that's why I chose WP. Everyone else is going there, so it works out. *siiiigh*

Love and luck to you, too, arbed.
I'm so glad you will be available at WP, too. Whatever the hell it is! :P
